COGO Engineering and Mapping Surveyors Ltd is a registered firm based in Kampala, Uganda, formed by a group of surveying professionals in 2020.
COGO provides integrated solutions to the challenges that communities, governments, engineers and architects face in registering land rights, acquiring land, and designing and positioning structures on the ground.
Our motivated and experienced team supports clients across multiple projects, from identification and formulation to implementation, monitoring and evaluation, while meeting social, economic, gender, engineering and environmental needs.
A short look back at COGO and where it is today
Founded in Kampala
A group of surveying professionals formed COGO and took on its first powerline route surveys: Bukwo–Mbale (100 km) and Mukono–Katosi (40 km).
Water, solar and wayleaves
Pipeline route mapping over 260 km in Soroti, Amuria and Kapelebyong, setting out a 4MW solar PV plant, and wayleave acquisition across 20 districts.
Resettlement work grows
RAP assignments began for the Nengo Bridge mini-hydro dam, alongside 132KV line demarcation in Bulambuli and plot surveys for Post Bank clients.
World Bank corridor projects
The Mbale weighbridge RAP under NERAMP brought COGO into World Bank-funded road corridor work.
Greater Kampala roads
Survey control, levelling, topographic and cadastral surveys for Cluster 3 roads under GKMA-UDP.
Grid expansion
Feasibility, ESIA and ARAP support for rural electrification and grid expansion across 22 districts.
Energy for Northern Uganda
The EU-funded EARN scoping study and investment package across 31 districts and cities.
