COGO ENGINEERING AND MAPPING SURVEYORS

Feasibility and topographic surveys

Feasibility and topographic surveys that give designers a true picture of the ground

Topographic surveys to the level of plans, profiles and contours, as required by international standards for public and private investments. Talk to our team about your site, timeline and the standard your project must meet.

Why feasibility and topographic surveys matters

Every design decision on a road, dam or powerline rests on the ground model underneath it. When levels, features or boundaries are wrong, the error travels into quantities, costs and programmes. A careful topographic survey at feasibility stage removes that risk before money is committed.

Topographic surveys to the level of production of plans, profiles, contours and more, as required by international standards on roads, waterlines, powerlines, dams, building construction, railways, mining sites, oil and gas and the agriculture sector, in public as well as private sector investments.

Our process

Step 1: Scoping and control

We agree the corridor or site extent, accuracy class and deliverables, then establish or extend survey control so every observation ties to the national grid.

Step 2: Field data capture

Our teams pick up levels, natural and built features, utilities and boundaries using total stations and GNSS, at the intervals your design standard requires.

Step 3: Processing and modelling

Observations are adjusted and checked, then processed into digital terrain models, contours, long sections and cross sections.

Step 4: Plans and reporting

You receive plans, profiles and a survey report in the formats your engineers use, with a walk-through of anything unusual on site.

Benefits of working with COGO

Reliable designs

Designers work from verified levels and features, not assumptions.

Accurate quantities

Earthwork and material estimates start from a true ground model.

Standards-ready outputs

Plans, profiles and contours are prepared to the standard the project demands.

“A good design starts with an honest picture of the ground.”

Who needs this service?

Accuracy is agreed at scoping and matched to the project standard. Observations are tied to established control and checked before any plan is issued.
Yes. We have mapped long corridors, including a 260 km pipeline network and 100 km powerline routes, at the intervals the design required.
