Scoping study and investment package for Energy Access and Resilience for Northern Uganda (EARN).
Project description
The main task is to develop a pre-feasibility study and then a feasibility study of a 100-million Euro investment package to increase access to electricity in rural and peri-urban areas in Northern Uganda, to be considered for potential co-financing by the EIB. It consists of four components:
- Grid expansion and connectivity for 1,470 km of Medium Voltage powerline and 3,000 km of Low Voltage powerlines.
- Strengthening the existing distribution network.
- Productive use of energy.
- Last-mile consumer connections.
